HSM35 Handy Motor
Operational via any ASCOM compliant software, this new Electronic Focusing System (EFS) from Starlight Instruments represents the next step in stepper controllers. Digital hub and hand controller are included as standard equipment. Optional motors are available.
The MSM motors work with the Micro Touch electronic focusing kit and can also be used with the Starlight Instruments Electronic Focusing System.
The HSM20 will fit any Feather Touch Micro Focuser, Feather Touch retrofit pinion assembly upgrade, or 2.0" Feather Touch Crayford focuser.
The HSM30 will fit any 2.5", 3.0" or 2.0" Feather Touch Rack/Pinion focuser, and 2.7" Astro-Physics focuser with Feather Touch upgrade.
The HSM35 will fit any 3.5" Feather Touch focuser and 3.5" and 4.0" Astro-Physics focuser with Feather Touch upgrade.
Both the control box and hand control are lightweight and compact with the former measuring in at 4.13" (105 mm) long by 2.87" (73 mm) wide by 1.1" (28 mm) thick Draws a maximum of 1 amp of power at 12V A standard USB cable is sufficient for controlling the EFS Optional motors connect to the hub via an Ethernet cable, while the hand controller is connected to the hub via an RJ11 cable. Both cables are included in this package.
With the Starlight Instruments Electronic Focusing System, you can adjust the number of steps the focuser moves. This inventive feature, accomplished by simply pressing the knob on the hand controller, allows you to choose from increments of 1 step, 10 steps, or 100 steps. There is also an LED light mode for each step: Red for 1 step, Amber for 10 steps, and Green for 100 steps.
